A free insert the customer can see

As in the demo shop: a free magazine with an image of its own. The customer sees it in the cart, can remove it, and the product page announces it beforehand.

What the customer sees.

Tested in the demo shop: magazine removed, then the quantity of the main product increased. The magazine did not come back.

Why it is set up this way.

Why a line of its own

An insert only the warehouse knows about is something the customer sees only in the parcel. As a cart line, it tells the customer in advance that it is coming, and they can decline it.

Why a tax rate at €0.00

With an absolute amount the tax rate is required, even if the amount is zero.

Why an image

With an image the customer recognises the insert at a glance. Without an image, the cart shows one of the 18 symbols.

What to watch out for: Removed means: for this session. In a new session the insert comes back if the rule still applies.
